Covert Hypnosis
Covert hypnosis, or covert anchoring, is a methodology that combines elements from aversion therapy, hypnotherapy, and NLP concepts. Roughly speaking, it is about inhibiting undesirable behaviors and reactions by setting so-called anchors. The goal here is to transform behavior that was previously perceived as pleasant so that it is now perceived as negative. Even though this may sound strange at first, there are some areas that exploit the positive benefits of covert hypnosis. Especially in the case of addiction problems or even impulse behavior such as self-injury, this can bring about significant support and improvement.
