No! Hypnosis is as little or as much a manipulative form of therapy as psychotherapy, a visit to the pediatrician or school. Accordingly, your child will not be manipulated at our practice. Instead, hypnotherapy is about working with your child to develop alternative strategies. This is always done within your child's value system. Furthermore, and this is another common fear, people in hypnotic trance are by no means "gone" or lose their control. In other words, both children and adults are fully conscious during hypnosis and are able to think critically, to question and to actively co-create the process of hypnosis.
