Child hypnosis For what symptoms?
Hypnosis is the gentle way to make school children strong
Childhood was still more stressful in every generation than we think we remember later, as adults. This was already the case with the ancient Greeks. Nevertheless, it seems to be especially difficult child in these modern times. This is also shown by the large-scale KiGGS study, the "Study on the Health of Children and Adolescents in Germany", which was conducted by the Robert Bosch Institute. It delivers partly alarming figures. Our children suffer from obesity and psychological problems. They have allergies, are treated with Ritalin for ADHD and are becoming addicted to computers and cell phones at an ever earlier age. As if that were not enough, according to the 2017 PISA study, one in six students suffers from bullying by the age of 15, and far too many of our children fear impoverishment, divorce, and other events that would turn their lives upside down. Hypnosis Berlin is a gentle way to make your child strong. It is a holistic approach. Here children are not put in drawers labeled "ADHD" or depression, own individuality accepted and strengthened. In this way, it learns to deal with its feelings, it gains an awareness of itself - a self-confidence.
Stressful family situations for parents and siblings in which child hypnosis can help
A child with mental health problems is very stressful for himself and for his parents and siblings. Without support, the family feels helpless and this leads to stress. Unpleasant questions arise. Did one make mistakes as a parent? Is the medication harming the child? Is it perhaps even another failure if the affected children are medicated? The answers to these questions are as individual as each family. With Hypnosis Berlin you can take a gentle, sustainable path that will help your child and the whole family. Try it out!
Stresses sometimes show themselves differently in children and young people than in adults through different symptoms and reactions on a physical and psychological level:
Anxieties and phobias are among the greatest psychological ailments in children and adolescents
Stress sometimes manifests differently in children and young people than in adults, depending on the subject matter, and can be described with different symptoms and reactions at the physical and psychological levels:
Children are usually not aware of anxiety, so they cannot formulate this as adults would. They tend to nomadize, which means they often express the psychological feeling through the body and are more likely to suffer from abdominal pain, diarrhea or headaches. But it can also progress to severe heart palpitations, sweating and trembling, and nausea. How children deal with it varies: avoidance, freezing and silence, withdrawal or even aggressive behavior can be observed in children and in adolescents.
Psychological symptoms can show themselves in children and adolescents in addition to physical ones in the form of emotional withdrawal, silence but also increased clinging. Negative thoughts and fears are often observed, which are also expressed: Fears that something could happen to the caregivers, that they are laughed at by others, are not good enough or even something bad happens, fear of being attacked by animals, dogs or spiders, when fixed rituals that increase to an obsessive-compulsive disorder can not be observed such as skipping certain paving stones, arranging pens or evening and bedding rituals.
Anxiety can also increase in children to the point of death anxiety and panic attacks with strong, inner turmoil and crying. Avoidance strategies can be fatal, as they have the tendency to spread to other areas of life and become chronic.
Hypnosis for children and teenagers - for positive changes
Hypnosis with children is a helpful method to subconsciously bring forward positive changes, so that fears and unfavorable behaviors do not become more entrenched and are not carried into adulthood. Children's hypnosis is used at our practice from the age of 9 in a way that is appropriate for children and, above all, age-appropriate, so that your child can feel safe and comfortable at all times. Hypnosis is primarily suitable for school children and adolescents. In exceptional cases, we also accept younger children. The extent to which hypnosis is appropriate for a younger child depends on the topic at hand, the child's age and emotional maturity. For example, for hypnosis to be successful, it is important that the child can concentrate for a certain period of time, follow words and implement them internally.
Child Hypnosis Test
Is my child suffering from psychological stress?
The following questions can be initial clues as to whether your child is suffering from psychological stress or illness:
Do you experience episodes of intense anxiety in your child that start suddenly?
Can you observe the following symptoms in your child: Tension, feelings of restlessness, aggression, abdominal pain, diarrhea, or headaches.
Are you afraid that you are losing contact with your child and that he/she is withdrawing further and further from you as a caregiver?
Do you also observe intense feelings of anxiety as if out of the blue?
Do you have the impression that your child's performance decreases or avoids certain situations?
If you can answer yes to one or more of these questions and your child may feel restricted in everyday life, you should seek medical or therapeutic advice. Your child may be experiencing psychological distress. Please note that questions are always asked broadly, so it is possible that children and adolescents who are not affected may also receive a positive result. Not everyone who has frequent abdominal pain suffers from a mental illness.
Mental disorders in children and adolescents Facts
Where and when do mental health problems occur in children?
Stresses and challenges are first of all completely normal in the everyday life of children and adolescents. Certain transitions can be observed, so-called life events the time of settling into kindergarten or transition to school or to a secondary school. Puberty also presents certain additional challenges. If there are also problems within the parental relationship, this can have an effect on the child. Separation anxiety, fear of loss and feelings of insecurity can increase.

Child hypnosis causes
Causes of mental illness in children and adolescents
Causes can be clear, but they are usually hidden in the subconscious. Hypnosis can reveal the causes and work on them. There are different explanatory models about the origin. In the past, fears such as fear of darkness, predators, unknown people or fear of being abandoned were really important for the survival of children. This is probably also the reason why fears still persist today. Feelings of fear with a higher heart rate and faster breathing help to increase blood flow and help to react appropriately in a dangerous situation with fight or flight. To what extent children and adolescents are affected by anxiety in an excessive form depends on biological, personal, psychological aspects, also on the individual behavior and upbringing within the parents. There are studies that indicate that the type of upbringing can increase anxiety in children, so a parenting interview plays an important role in the first hypnosis session with a child.
Mental stress Consequences
What consequences can psychological stress have on children and adolescents?
The longer a stress lasts and remains untreated, the greater the pressure of suffering - also within the family. In addition, fears and unfavorable behaviors can become more and more entrenched and be carried into adulthood.
Summarize the consequences as follows:
Decreasing self-confidence, self-awareness
Emotional and social withdrawal from friends and caregivers
Insecurity may show up at home and at school
Problems at school and declining academic performance
Significant behavioral changes due to avoidance behavior
Depressive moods up to and including depression
Increased compensatory behavior such as computer game addiction, conspicuous eating behavior (too much or too little)
Increased risk through "self-therapy" - alcohol or drugs
Mental stress and secondary conditions
Children and adolescents begin to avoid situations in which they did not feel comfortable more and more in order not to expose themselves to the experience.
Often, when they experience anxiety, they feel shame, become insecure, and feel they are not good enough.
Affected individuals often show signs and symptoms of depression as a secondary illness or somatic complaints. Fears can also manifest themselves in children in a panic disorder and have the tendency to spread to other areas of life, to become chronic and to be carried into adulthood.

Hypnosis for children and adolescents with anxiety
When children suffer from anxiety, they often talk about monsters under the bed or complain about stomach aches when they think about school, for example. This is because anxiety is a rather abstract concept. Children do not abstract. Neither does the subconscious mind. Hence the physical reaction or the pictorial representation of fear by the "monster under the bed." In hypnosis, together with the child, I ferret out the monster under the bed. We force it to show its face. At the same time, we call the fairies and superheroes to help your child fight the monster. It is always nice to see how individually and imaginatively my little clients fight their problems. How beautiful and creative the solutions are and how well they work in the future. The timid girl becomes a fairy with magic powers, and the shy teenager becomes the hero of his own story. The monster turns out to be a cute creature with a scary shadow, and the stomachache is simply conjured away. Children have already found such and other creative solutions in my practice and successfully tested the transfer to the everyday world.
Hypnosis for children and adolescents with logophobia and mutism
Logophobia, the fear of speaking in front of others, is unfortunately far too common in children. It is no wonder that the youngest children are already challenged at school and in their free time. They have to give presentations in front of the whole class or solve math problems on the blackboard. In the circle of friends they want to make their opinion known and in sports they have to decide which team they want to belong to. Unfortunately, when they get confused or start stuttering, it is all too common for them to be laughed at by their classmates. A negative cycle is created that spins faster and faster the longer it goes on. My hypnotherapy in Berlin helps your child with logophobia. I understand your child's fear, not only for professional reasons, but also because I know this speech anxiety myself. Today I lead my little clients playfully and easily back into the world of words and speech. At the same time Hypnosis Berlin helps your child to become more self-confident. Because a self-confident child will no longer have difficulty speaking in public or mastering a lecture in front of the whole class with confidence. Mutism is a strategy with terrible consequences: When children or teens suffer too much from their fear of speaking, they sometimes develop mutism. This is a consistent silence, even though the actual speech organs are perfectly healthy and speech development is largely complete. Most often, the disorder begins with what is called selective mutism. This means that your child no longer speaks in front of a certain group of people. In the next step, the child then remains silent in other situations until he or she finally falls completely silent. Contact Hypnose Berlin if you fear that your child is developing selective mutism. Don't wait until the mutism monster, as one of my little clients called it, gets bigger and more powerful. In hypnosis, I gently guide your child out of silence. I hand him shield and sword against the monster for a self-confident and self-determined future.
Hypnosis for children and adolescents with fear of the dentist
There are children who have built up such a great fear of the dentist that a dental examination or check-up can only be performed under great tension and fear. Going through such fearful situations can cause the fear to become entrenched and children maintain this fear into adulthood. Hypnosis Berlin takes away children's fear of dental treatment in a playful and gentle way, so that such a stressful situation does not arise in the first place.
Hypnosis for children and teenagers with fear of flying
Vacation could be so beautiful. Finally time for the family, sun, beach and sea! But one family member does not want to join in. Already days before the flight your child suffers visibly. He gets a stomach ache and is depressed and while other children are looking forward to the vacations - your son, her daughter becomes more nervous, sickly and unhappy with every day that it gets closer to the longed-for vacation. The diagnosis is simple. Your child suffers from fear of flying. Fear of flying in children is not uncommon and should not be underestimated. No amount of coaxing will help, nor will simply putting the child on an airplane against his or her will. This will not only spoil the current vacation, which your child will not be able to enjoy for fear of the return flight, but it will also intensify the fear of flying. An increased fear can easily turn into a phobia, which in turn can quickly develop into phobophobia (fear of anxiety attacks). Help your child overcome the fear of flying! Hypnosis is a good, fast and effective way to do this. If your child learns to face his fear of flying, if he experiences that he can control his fear, this will have a positive effect on your child in all other areas as well. A child who has learned to overcome his fear of flying will also learn to overcome all his other fears.
Hypnosis for children and adolescents with ADHD and aggression
Children suffering from ADHD cannot focus their attention. But this is exactly what every person learns in hypnosis. It is, so to speak, one of the most important components of hypnotherapy. That is why hypnosis Berlin is so successful in the treatment of ADHD. For example, there is the possibility here to connect an external stimulus with a feeling. An example: "Whenever you get nervous, press your right thumb a little. This will make you calm and clear right away, because the jittery in you will fall asleep from it." The aggressions that accompany ADHD are also significantly alleviated under hypnosis. They are caused by an inner overpressure, the children have too much energy. Also, if your child feels misunderstood, this leads to aggression. In the hypnotic trance I find together with your child ways and means to control the aggression or simply to release it. Here your child could, for example, together with me as an accompanying and supporting hypnotherapist, set a password that turns off the aggression.
Hypnosis is help for self-help
A very important aspect of hypnosis is the empowerment that your child experiences in hypnotherapy. The child in his world of experience moves into the center. He or she is given the means and finds ways to control what he or she previously felt powerless against, the dentist, fear or even ADHD. In hypnosis, the child regains control over how he feels at the dentist, over his energy, his fears, his breathing - whatever is causing the suffering. An experience that can be transferred to other areas as well. This creates a good basis sustainable positive mental development of your child. hypnotherapy is therefore not only a sensible alternative to medication, but also a signpost to a strong, self-determined future.
Hypnosis for children and adolescents with fingernail biting
About one in five children between the ages of four and ten will start biting their fingernails at some point. This is usually an expression of nervousness that dissipates within a few weeks or months. But in some cases, nail biting takes hold. It becomes your child's first addiction.
Negative consequences of children's fingernail biting:
Children who bite their fingernails excessively are often perceived by other children as weak and insecure, and they are School bullied. A negative experience that will affect your child's entire life.
Children who bite their fingernails excessively are often perceived by other children as weak and insecure, and they are School bullied. A negative experience that will affect your child's entire life.
Fingernail biting also has medical consequences. It often leads to nail bed infections, which can result in blood poisoning. Especially in children, it also leads to bacterial infections or even parasite infestations if the children have dirty fingers.
Don't take your child's fingernail biting lightly. See it for what it is. A stigmatizing behavior and an addiction that leads to other addictions. Help your child stop fingernail biting. Stand by him with Hypnosis Berlin.

How hypnosis can help your child
Hypnotherapy is very effective, especially for children. Especially in the therapy of chronic pain in children, hypnotherapy is now even recommended by health insurance companies. (cf. "Stop the headache" Techniker Krankenkasse.) Since children have less or no idea what hypnosis is supposed to be, they usually get into hypnosis faster and are much more natural in the trance than adults. The imagery that plays an important role in hypnosis is also more accessible to children. So it is easy for them to communicate in pictures. They enjoy developing imaginative "stop scenarios" with which they can control their anxiety attacks. They have no inhibitions about "talking" to their aching belly or overtaxed lungs, and they are happy to find contact with their "inner helpers". In addition, children are also very good at learning self-hypnosis. A skill that will benefit them throughout their lives.
From this age hypnosis helps your child
Hypnosis is suitable for school children and adolescents. In our hypnosis practice we accept school children from the age of 9, in exceptional cases also younger children. The session and the hypnosis are designed in an age-appropriate way with interesting stories and playful role-plays full of fantasy in which children are taken on an inner journey on which they enter into creative contact with their subconscious. Here children find their very own solutions and strategies for the problems.
