Active Alert Hypnosis
Short AWH refers to active awake hypnosis a special form of hypnosis, more precisely awake hypnosis in which the hypnotisand from an active and moving state is brought into trance. Typical induction activities include cycling or walking. It is important that the client is in motion. Active awake hypnosis was developed by Dr. Eva Bányai. The patient sits on a bicycle ergometer and pedals vigorously during hypnosis. With this technique, she was able to prove that successful hypnosis does not necessarily require relaxation, but that it also works by increasing physical activity. Even though this is not the classic hypnosis technique, good results can be achieved.
