Crohn's disease
Crohn's disease is a chronic inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract. The lower part of the small intestine or the beginning of the large intestine is often affected. Crohn's disease can affect the entire digestive tract from mouth to anus. In this area, bacteria are less easily recognized and fought, the intestinal mucosa has a changed mucus layer and the intestinal epithelium as part of the inner intestinal wall is more permeable. Affected people suffer from diarrhea, abdominal pain, weight loss, deficiency symptoms, exhaustion or abscesses and fistulas. Hypnotherapy can provide relief for Crohn's disease patients as a supplement to conservative therapy. For example, hypnosis can be used to reduce stressors, alleviate abdominal pain, reduce inflammatory activity and strengthen the immune system.
