A daydream describes a fantasy imagination, this can be feared or desired, which a person has in the waking state. Many people know this from themselves, as the thoughts wander or simply withdraw from everyday life and dream away. Daydreaming, for example, is also one of the states that can be achieved under trance in hypnosis. As a rule, people are already unconsciously in light trance states when daydreaming. So daydreaming is a state that can be achieved in hypnosis. It is a lighter form of trance. Above all, however, we know daydreaming from everyday life. It is also called dreaming with open eyes. We are awake, but not fully present, at least mentally. There is a stronger focus on a certain topic or a certain point, so that we can fade out everything else already times.
