Disconnection
Disconnection describes the interruption of the connections between two brain regions, colloquially this could be called "conduction disturbance". Disconnection is used in the treatment of pain with hypnotherapy: pain networks are disturbed, i.e. interrupted, which is desirable in the case of a pain patient. With the interruption of pain networks by means of hypnosis, i.e. disconnection, new spaces of experience without pain are opened, which leads to the relief of symptoms.
