EMDR

The abbreviation for EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing and goes back to Dr. Francine Shapiro. It is a technique that makes it possible to eliminate stressful and anxiety-laden thoughts and feelings. This is achieved through bilateral stimulation, which means that during hypnosis the client remembers stressful events while following the therapist's hand. The therapist moves his hand alternately to the left and to the right. The goal is to help the brain activate its self-healing powers.
