Endorphins
Happiness and ecstasy arise, among other things, in the happiness hormones, i.e. endorphins, are released. Strictly speaking, these are endogenous morphines that the body produces to relieve pain. They are released when needed and then provide a "high", a high state of sensation and experience. Endorphins are produced in the brain, for example, in the pituitary gland and hypothalamus. Under hypnosis, the body can also be stimulated to release endogenous morphines, so hypnosis can also be used for pain and addiction problems. Endorphins are released during hypnosis, and many people feel really exhilarated afterwards.
