The movement of the eyes, whether unconscious or conscious, is an important clue about the person's representational system, which is currently activated. It is a part of body language to understand the totality and context of a situation. For example, people show typical eye positions when they are mentally in a certain sensory system. Just like hypnosis, this can be used to access the subconscious mind.
