Hyperkinesia
Hyperkinesia refers to excessive movements in the muscles. Hyperkinesia is an excessive activity and restlessness in the movements usually with muscle twitching. These are involuntary movements of the body and limbs. Such increased movement activity is usually perceived by the affected person as very stressful, as it reduces the body's ability to relax. Hypnosis therefore represents a challenge for those affected and at the same time it holds possibilities for learning on a subconscious and physical level. The body can come to rest and with hypnosis learn to regulate over-movements and provide periods of rest. Hyperkinesia is particularly common in children, but also in adults.
