Hypnocatharsis
Hypnocatharsis - Catharsis means the acting out of inner conflicts and repressed feelings, which also plays a role in hypnocatharsis. Thus, in psychology, catharsis generally means the acting out of inner conflicts and repressed feelings, which should lead to a reduction of present stresses and discomforts. A common example is acting out aggression, for example, by hitting a punching bag or otherwise letting off steam in sports. Catharsis more specifically hypnocatharsis also takes on a significant role in hypnosis.
