MBSR, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction
MBSR stands for Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction. Jon Kabat-Zinn developed the MSR program based on Buddhist mindfulness meditation. In the MBSR program, we gain mindfulness and awareness by putting ourselves in the present moment and being aware of what is happening without judgment. This attitude creates friendliness, curiosity and a willingness to be open and nonjudgmental. Parts of the MBSR can be used in hypnosis to experience mindfulness.
