Primal Trust (Urvertrauen)
Primal trust is understood to be an inner emotional security that we develop in our first months of life. It denotes a positive basic feeling towards other people and oneself. None of us knows what we are getting into when we meet other people. We must first give them an advance of trust and assume that they are well-disposed toward us. Without basic trust, it would hardly be possible for us to enter into social relationships. A lack of basic trust sits in the subconscious and is usually a consequence of childhood. It is manifested by the fact that those affected cannot form close bonds with other people and have difficulty allowing closeness. In hypnosis, the path to the subconscious is paved and thus a non-intact basic trust can also be located.
