Rapport
Rapport refers to a relationship between two people: an empathic attention that is reciprocal and trusting. In hypnosis, the rapport thus describes the connection, the good contact, a positive relationship between the hypnotherapist, the hypnotherapist and the client, the so-called Hypnotisand. This connection, being in good contact with each other, is important for emotional communication and so that the hypnotisand can engage in the process of hypnosis and trance work. The client is thus more open and receptive to goal serving suggestions. If the rapport is missing, hypnosis is usually very difficult, which is also evident in other areas of communication in everyday life. If the Rapport is interrupted one speaks of Rapportverlust.
