Syndrome
A syndrome, not to be confused with symptom, is a constellation of different symptoms, signs of disease. Usually, the individual symptoms go back to a common cause and accordingly occur together. The syndrome is then either a symptom complex without disease value, a disease in itself or also a group of diseases. In hypnosis, the first step before starting the treatment is the anamnesis. Here the therapist takes the complaints and concerns of the client, it is important to name all symptoms or the corresponding syndrome, so that the hypnotist can take this into account. An example of a syndrome is the well-known burnout syndrome.
