Elman, Dave
Dave Elman, actually David Kopelman, was known for his fast and efficient hypnotic trance induction. This allows to work specifically with deep hypnosis. Dave Elman paved the way for making hypnosis highly effective. This technique, also known as the Dave Elman Method, he personally gave only to therapists and doctors for therapeutic purposes. The basic conditions Elman crystallized for trance induction still apply to all hypnosis today:
- Consent, agreement
- Good communication (rapport, also rapport of the client with himself)
- Freedom from fear, aversion, mistrust
