Suggestibility describes the openness for influencing a person e.g. by hypnosis. If someone is suggestible, he is easily receptive and open to be accompanied by the hypnotist in hypnosis in which a desired change can be particularly easy. If a hypnotisand is more suggestible, he is more open to these helpful and supportive phrases that are designed to enable him to achieve his goals. These phrases are called Suggestions.People are different and so is the ability to accept and understand suggestions. Suggestions are sentences, formulas that intend certain thought processes or emotional impressions. The degree of this ability is expressed in suggestibility. In general, suggestibility is higher in children and adolescents than in older people. Fatigue, physical exhaustion and hypnosis increase suggestibility.
